Please be in prayer for Mike and Dawn Derstine as they experience God’s renewing graces during their sabbatical, June 16-Oct 15, 2023. During Mike’s sabbatical, please contact the church office (email@example.com or 215-362-7640) Bev Miller, Noah Kolb, Janet Panning or a member of the Elder’s team for pastoral emergencies.
At Plains you will find women and men, young and old, seeking to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. The members at Plains are committed to caring for others, practicing peacemaking, and sharing God’s love and resources in the local community and across the wider church and world. We are excited about what God is doing in the life of our church. We invite you to visit, take part in our worship, and join with us as we journey together with Jesus. Mike Derstine, pastor, welcomes your phone calls and questions.
Playground For All
Plains Mennonite Church is the process of developing a few inclusive playground in our park! We recognize that all children need opportunities for socialization and time outdoors, as well as physical exercise, motor skill development and cardiovascular endurance. We are excited to announce that installation is under way! Our missing pieces have been delivered and now we wait for the rubberization! We look forward to sharing more updates with you and will announce when it’s ready for play!
In seeking to live as faithful followers of Christ, we are called to love our neighbors and are committed to sharing God’s love and resources in the local community. Creating a Playground for All at Plains Park is one way that Plains Mennonite Church is responding to the needs of families in our community.
